I've added custom fields to the user profiles--Tumblr, Twitter, AO3, and more... You should be able to directly link to your various accounts using BB code. Let me know if you have trouble doing that.
I've disabled the default "Gender" field for user profiles. I've done this because it only offers two options: "Male" or "Female", and modding it would have been a pain. I've replaced it with a custom text field also titled "Gender" (for lack of a better word) where you can either type your identify into the box, or you can leave it blank.
And finally... Let me know if you'd like more custom fields added. I only added the ones I could think of off the top of my head.
